چکیده
Background: We aimed to analyze the prevalence and long-term prognostic impact of non-cardiac comorbidities in patients with reduced preserved left-ventricular ejection fraction (EF) following ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). Method: A total 3033 STEMI undergoing primary percutaneous coronary intervention (pPCI) were divided two groups: EF < 50% ≥ 50%. The follow-up period was 8 years. Results: Preserved present 1726 (55.4%) 1389 (44.5%) patients. Non-cardiac more frequent compared (38.9% vs. 27.4%, respectively, p 0.001). Lethal outcome registered 240 (17.2%) 40 (2.3%) EF, 0.001. Diabetes chronic kidney disease (CKD) independent predictors for 8-year mortality EF. In CKD independently associated mortality. Conclusion: who had higher than after STEMI. Only diabetes mellitus analyzed

Evaluation of ejection fraction in patients with acute myocardial infarction undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention
Introduction: Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is a reperfusion strategy to increase life expectancy and ejection fraction (EF) in ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) patients. We investigated the effect of location, severity, type of lesion, number and type of vessel involved and time of angioplasty on the increase in EF in STEMI patients undergoing primary PCI (P-PCI) a...
متن کاملImpact of Comorbidities on Myocardial Remodeling and Dysfunction In Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction
Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) currently accounts for 50 % of all HF patients, and its prevalence relative to HF with reduced EF (HFrEF) is rising at a rate of approximately 1 % per year [1,2]. Patients with HFpEF have a poor prognosis, with only slight lower mortality rates than patients with HFrEF [1,3]. According to current critera, HFpEF is diagnosed in the presence ...
متن کاملHeart Failure with Preserved Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction in Patients with Acute Myocardial Infarction
BACKGROUND The prevalence and clinical outcomes of heart failure with preserved left ventricular ejection fraction after acute myocardial infarction have not been well elucidated. OBJECTIVE To analyze the prevalence of heart failure with preserved left ventricular ejection fraction in acute myocardial infarction and its association with mortality. METHODS Patients with acute myocardial infa...
متن کاملPrognosis of patients with acute pulmonary edema and normal ejection fraction after acute myocardial infarction.
To assess the prognostic importance of resting left ventricular function in survivors of acute myocardial infarction with pulmonary edema, we retrospectively identified 39 consecutive patients who presented with acute pulmonary edema and myocardial infarction. Sixteen patients had radionuclide ejection fractions 10 +/- 2 days postinfarction of greater than 0.45 (group A, mean 0.55 +/- 0.06), an...
